Privacy policy
Version 2026-09-15-v1
This policy explains how FastShares (“we”, “us”) handles personal information on the FastShares website and email waitlist. FastShares is the data controller for this information. Contact privacy@getfastshares.com with questions or requests about your data.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, signup source, consent-policy version, signup and consent dates, and confirmation and unsubscribe status. We create unique links so you can confirm your address and unsubscribe. We also receive information you choose to include when contacting us.
Our hosting and monitoring services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and error reports to deliver and protect the website. Joining the waitlist does not require identity documents, payment details or a wallet.
How we use your information
We use your email to send the confirmation you request and, after you confirm, FastShares development and launch updates. These updates rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We also process requests, record your preferences, prevent abuse and maintain the website, based on our legitimate interests in operating a secure service and meeting applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Signing up is optional. It does not open an investment account, reserve an investment or guarantee access to a future product. If you did not request a confirmation email, you can ignore it or use its unsubscribe link. Updates begin only after you confirm.
Service providers and international processing
We use Vercel to host the website, Supabase to store waitlist records and run email delivery functions, and Postmark to deliver email. Hosting and error-monitoring services help us identify failures and protect the service. Providers process the information needed for those tasks. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect legal rights.
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside Kenya. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we must put those safeguards in place. You can contact us for information about where your data is processed and the safeguards that apply.
Cookies and security
The website can remember your language preference using a cookie. Infrastructure providers may use security cookies to protect the service. The waitlist does not require advertising cookies. We restrict access to waitlist records and use encrypted connections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; keep your confirmation and unsubscribe links private.
How long we keep information
We keep waitlist records for up to 365 days from signup. This includes unconfirmed records and unsubscribe records used to prevent further updates. We remove records earlier when we fulfil a deletion request, unless a specific legal obligation requires us to retain limited information. Backup copies may remain until the provider’s normal backup cycle expires. Technical logs are kept only as needed for security and troubleshooting.
Unsubscribe from updates
Use the unsubscribe link in a FastShares waitlist email and follow the instructions, or email privacy@getfastshares.com from the address you subscribed with. Unsubscribing stops updates; it does not automatically delete the record of your preference. You can request deletion separately.
Your rights and deletion requests
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw consent, or object to or restrict processing. Depending on applicable law, you may also request a portable copy. Email privacy@getfastshares.com from the relevant address and describe your request. We may take proportionate steps to verify that it is yours. We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful reason we cannot fulfil a request.
You can raise concerns with your local data-protection authority. In Kenya, contact the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Children
The waitlist is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We will publish changes here with an updated version. If we materially change how we use your information, we will provide appropriate notice and seek fresh consent where required.
